Passion: Born from a lifetime love affair with nature and experience on the water, Paddle the Florida Keys owners, Scott and Betsy Baste, have extensive knowledge and experience on and in the water. Scott is a world-renowned, epic distance standup paddleboard racer who regularly logs over 3,000 miles on the water each year. Betsy is a former environmental science teacher and scuba instructor whose favorite place is on or under the water. Together they have raced sailboats, mountain bikes, and now enjoy the island lifestyle of the Florida Keys.
Our shop and launch areas are uniquely situated on the protected, clear waters of Tavernier Creek. Located between Key Largo and Islamorada, a little more than an hour from Miami and on the way to Key West, we are the perfect place to explore the tropical blue waters of the Florida Keys.
